Flying grows on me. I find myself daydreaming about small airplanes and short airstrips though out the day. I can spot a small airplane from unreasonable distances and I would rather sit in a Super Cub than drive a Ferrari. I don't know what does that to me but it's a strong force. The smell of avgas is preferable to perfume. 39 inch bush tires are more highly sought after than a reasonable car. I would pay $5000 for a dismantled airplane to put together before I would purchase a house. Maybe my priorities are wrong, but those things call my name and I feel the NEED to satisfy.
Although I am incapable of such flying yet, I am so appreciative of the flight situation I am in. The plane I fly is too fast for back country flying but it is cheap and fun. I have now flown 42 hours flying this little bird and hope to enjoy many more before the situation ends. Maybe someday I will own a plane of my own.
